Robert DeJournett, Co-Founder of Black Chamber Of Commerce - Summit County Akron, Ohio Robert DeJournett is a dedicated leader and advocate for change, specializing in fostering culture transformation and guiding organizations through complex transitions. With a career spanning 30 years at Summa Health, Robert launched impactful initiatives, including the Diversity Advisory Council and the System Diversity Strategic Plan. He later served as Vice President of Opportunity Inclusion at the Greater Akron Chamber, leading key strategies like Elevate Greater Akron’s Opportunity Akron initiative and organizing the region's first Inclusion Summit. Currently, as principal of DeJournett Consulting LLC, Robert assists organizations in achieving their goals through resource connections, stakeholder engagement, and coaching, emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion. A recipient of numerous awards, including the National BMeGenius Award and the Distinguished Leader Award, Robert's extensive community involvement includes serving on various boards and committees. A graduate of the University of Akron with a certificate in Diversity Management in Healthcare from Georgetown University, Robert also serves as Senior Pastor at St. Ashworth Temple COGIC. He and his wife, Charlene, share a blended family of five children and five grandchildren. |

| Misty E. Beasley, MPA, CBA®, Co-Founder of Black Chamber Of Commerce - Summit County Akron, Ohio Misty E. Beasley is a seasoned public administrator, certified business advisor, and advocate for equity in opportunities. With over 21 years of experience, including 13+ years in education and a decade focusing on small business development, Misty is committed to supporting the growth of minority- and women-owned businesses. As the founder and President/CEO of The Rogers and Rivers Enterprise, she provides impactful services aimed at driving social and economic growth in underserved communities. Misty previously led the Minority Business Assistance Center at the Akron Urban League, securing increased funding and expanding services. A specialist in business strategy, certifications, and procurement, Misty helps small businesses thrive through strategic planning and resource access. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Kent State University, a Certified Business Advisor certificate, and is a GrowthWheel-certified advisor. Misty is passionate about empowering individuals to reach their potential through education, mentorship, and community engagement. Misty is married to Stephen Beasley and together they are the proud parents of four sons and three grandchildren. |
